Description
The original man-carrying aircraft S.E.5 (Scout Experimental 5) was
designed by Henry P. Folland, J. Kenworthy and Major F.W. Goodden at the
Royal Aircraft Factory in Farnborough for the installation of the new
150hp Hispano-Suiza 8a V8 engine. The first prototype flew on November 28
1916.
The model is offered in a modern hybrid design. The internal structures
such as fuselage frames, wing ribs etc. are made of laser-cut,
lightweight plywood and the outer skin is made of lightweight, printed
EPP.
